Kira's cyst popped.  It was probably bugging her as it was oozing and her fur was caked with the hard substance.  She was rolling around on her back trying to relieve the pressure and it burst.

Happy New Year everyone!

Frisbee

We went to the leash free dog park that used to be the Charleswood Golf Course and found a Frisbee yesterday.

Unfortunately she doesn't seem to have the knack for it.

Today was a beautiful day. 28 degrees and a perfect day for barbequeing. I used hickery woodchips inside a foil package to create a smoky flavor and had a pork loin stuffed with sliced apples and dressing on indirect low heat for 2 1/2 hours. There was a foil package of dressing as well as there is not enough room between the 2 strips of pork loin. I also roasted red potates cut in eighths along with carrots. We added fresh corn on the cob and a pasta salad in a dijon based dressing. To compliment the pork, a nice sweet rhubarb chutney made by mom-in-law was added to pure perfection. To finish it off we had a nice desert of fresh strawberries, blueberries and raspberries on individual shortcakes topped off with whipcream. WOW can I cook or can't I!

We went to BDI today and ordered Kira a baby sundae. She loves sweets and ice cream is near the top of the list, behind Tim Horton's Ice Caps and Slurpees. I used the camera phone to take this picture, so the quality is a little poor.

Thank you Bachan and Jichan for the 5 dollars. I'll go shopping for some treats at the store.

Here's a picture of our K9 Patrol Unit doing her rounds on the estate. I believe there were bogey's at 9 o'clock and she moved in to intercept. (Darned squirrels)
