New Rockports - Couldn't resist

Believe it or not, these were on sale really cheap at The Shoe Company.  Regular price is $150 to $165.  Sale price is $60 for all three, then to $45 to $49.  Then 50% off this last price.
Paid $24.75 for two and $22.50 for the other one.

They are Rockports, my favourites!

New Camera

We purchased a new camera last week. A Canon A540

Our Fuji camera is still the king, but we found out in Vegas that it's too unwieldly to carry around as it's a digital SLR. The Canon is much smaller. It has 6 mega pixels and has a 4x optical zoom.

The best part is that it has a HUGE 2.5 inch LCD monitor on the back for picture perfect viewing.

New shoes

I just purchased 2 new pairs of shoes. Karen says I have too many but you decide.
I have 1 pair of dress blacks, 2 pairs of dress/casual blacks, and 2 pairs of casual blacks. I also have 1 pair of dress browns, 1 pair of dress/casual browns and 1 pair of casual browns. This of course doesn't include my runners, sandals, hiking boots or winter boots. But really, out of these shoes, I only have 2 pairs of Rockports and 1 pair of Florsheims, the rest are inexpensive ones.

New camera

For a while now I've been tired of our old and obsolete Nikon Coolpix 2100 digicam (top picture), with only 2 megapixels and 3x zoom. After aproximately 20 plus hours of research from the internet, I decided on purchasing the Fuji Finepix S5200 (bottom picture on the left). The Fuji has 5 megapixels which can produce up to 11" x 14" prints, plus a whopping 10x optical zoom. As you can see from the pictures it's smaller than our 35mm Minolta SLR film camera. It's one of the quick picks from Consumers Reports and is near or at the top of many lists. It's price was also a factor as it was over 100 dollars cheaper than most other cameras with the same features. We're off to the States tomorrow so this will come in handy for some awesome pictures (I hope).
