It was minus 4 (-10 with the windchill) on Halloween night and we expected a drop-off on the number of trick-or-treaters from last years 83 kids. We were right and only had 40 this year. We purchased 200 mini chocolate bars and gave out 2 per child . We almost didn't make it home on time to hand out candy as it took me 50 minutes to pick up Karen (as opposed to the usual 20 min) due to some construction and a whole lot of slow drivers due to the snow and ice on the roads.
